We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All financial data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never store your bank login credentials—authentication is handled securely by Plaid.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to provide our platform:
- Plaid — to connect to your financial institutions for bank account balances and transaction data. When you connect your accounts, you are also subject to Plaid's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — to process payments and invoices. Stripe receives your name, email, and payment information as needed to process transactions.
- Square — to sync payment processing data for vendors who use Square. Square receives limited account information necessary for the OAuth connection.
- Google Calendar — to sync your events. When you connect your Google Calendar, we access your calendar event data (titles, dates, times, and locations) using the Google Calendar API. We do not access any other Google account data.
- Resend — to send transactional and notification emails. Resend receives your email address and name for email delivery.
- Vercel — to host and serve the application. Vercel may collect standard web analytics data (IP address, browser type, page views).
We carefully select partners who maintain high security and privacy standards.
4a. Google User Data
When you connect your Google account, PopUp accesses your Google Calendar data through the Google Calendar API. Specifically, we request access to view and edit events on your calendars (calendar.events scope).
How we use Google user data: We use your Google Calendar event data solely to display and sync your events within the PopUp platform. This allows you to see your calendar events alongside your PopUp bookings and vendor schedules.
Sharing, transfer, and disclosure: We do not share, transfer, sell, or disclose your Google user data to any third parties. Your Google Calendar data is stored securely on our servers and is only accessible to you through your PopUp account. We do not use your Google user data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose unrelated to providing the PopUp service.
Retention and deletion: Your Google Calendar data is retained only while your Google account is connected to PopUp. You may disconnect your Google account at any time through your account settings, at which point we will delete all stored Google Calendar data from our systems. You may also request deletion by contacting us at eli@usepopup.com.
PopUp's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
